M_o_R® (Management of Risk) provides advice on how these principles, approach and processes should be embedded, reviewed and applied differently depending on the nature of the objectives at risk. An effective framework based on core concepts:

 

• Principles - these are essential for the development of good risk management practice. They are all derived from corporate governance principles in the recognition that risk management is a subset of an organization's internal controls.
• Approach - the principles need to be adapted and adopted to suit each individual organization. Accordingly, a company's approach to the principles needs to be agreed and defined within a risk management policy, process guide and strategies, and supported by the use of risk registers and issue logs.
• Processes - there are four main process steps, which describe the inputs, outputs and activities involved in ensuring that risks are identified, assessed and controlled. Embedding and reviewing M_o_R - having put in place the principles, approach and processes, an organization needs to ensure they are consistently applied and that their application undergoes continual improvement in order for them to be effective.

 

 

 

The purpose of the  M_o_R Practitioner Risk Management Certification is to confirm whether the candidate has achieved sufficient understanding of how to apply and tailor M_o_R in a scenario situation.

MSP® Practitioner exam format

 

• Objective testing
• Four questions per paper, 20 marks available per question
• 40 marks required to pass (out of 80 available) - 50%
• Three hours’ duration (25% extra time for candidates taking the exam in a language other than their native language)
• Open book exam. Candidates may use the official printed hard copy of the Management of Risk: Guidance for Practitioners guide. The manual may be annotated and tabulated but no sticky notes and loose leaf papers containing additional notes will be allowed

 

 

 

Prerequisites

 

 

To take part to the M_o_R Practitioner course, candidates must have M_o_R Foundation certification.

After purchasing the course, they will be asked to send the certificate.

We recommend that you have basic knowledge and experience of risk management.
